HOW IT WORKS

Are you considering a more customized invitation? It’s a great opportunity to show your personality and set the tone for your one-of-a-kind event. Do you have colors? What about something that says ‘you and your fiance’ or a favorite style of art… if so, let’s work together to create an amazing invitation for your celebration!

    • Once you think you want to go the ‘custom’ route, gather your ideas and get a feeling of your event style

    • Reach out to us – email is the best way to get in touch. We love to answer questions and see how best DBY might fit your needs
       

  • Schedule a Consultation

    • Our first meeting will be via Teams. In the comfort of your space, we'll discuss your ideas, our capabilities, and if we will make a good match. If that is something that will fit your event, DBY will come to you and bring paper samples, examples of styles, and a sketch pad to outline your collateral items.
       

  • Contract with us

    • Once we’ve found the perfect point between design, color, style, and price you’ll contract with us to design and produce your custom order. 50% is due at the time the contract is signed. The final balance will be due at the print proof approval meeting.
       

  • DBY designs

    • After we are contracted, we will begin the design process. We use the sketches, colors, artistic styles and your Pinterest board (if you have one) to create a one of a kind design. First, we’ll send your mood board, then with your feedback, we design an invitation to present to you at your home - it will be a real representation of your order, including every part and the printing. At this point we’ll either list edits, or
      end it to production. The balance of your order is due at this appointment.

       

  • The Production Process

    • We manage every step of the process, from materials order to assembly and everything between. If the print process is digital, we’ll print it right in the studio. If a more luxurious process is selected, we’ll use one of our few trusted partners to engrave, letterpress, or foil it. Once your ensemble is fully printed and trimmed to size, we will hand assemble for final presentation and pickup by you.
       

  • Delivery

    • As part of the contracting process, we will have already determined the drop off date – which is usually anywhere between a year before the event (for Save the Dates) and up to 3 months prior for your wedding or party. Or we can ship to you via insured UPS trackable transit.
       

  • Any next steps

    • Do you have programs or menus ordered? Did you forget to get thank you cards? We can design items to complement the invitations and carry you through to the final parts of your wedding. And after that, we hope we’ve built a long term relationship that will make DBY your go-to for holiday cards, family parties and personal stationery.
